This is a hybrid course with the bulk of the course being completed via live online lecture and self study of the textbook.  At the conclusion of the didactic portion of the course there will be a 3 day in person session in which you will complete an AHA BLS CPR course, learn and practice necessary skills for EMR and complete a national registry level skills exam.  Following successful completion the skills exam you will be able to sit for the NREMT EMR exam and obtain national certification which will allow you to obtain state licensure.

Emergency Medical Responders provide initial lifesaving care to patients who enter the emergency medical services system. EMRs have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide basic lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS resources to arrive. EMRs can provide assistance to higher-level personnel at the scene of emergencies. Under medical supervision, Emergency Medical Responders perform basic interventions with minimal equipment. EMRs are a vital part of the comprehensive EMS response.

Please note that neither the testing fees for NREMT, nor the licensure fees for your state are included in the cost of this course.
