Alan Sharp Education Operations

With nearly three decades of service in fire, EMS, and tactical operations, Alan brings deep expertise and unwavering dedication to public safety. Originally from Carson City, Nevada, Alan began his career in emergency services in 1996, serving with Central Lyon County Fire, REMSA, and the Carson City Fire Department.

In addition to his civilian service, Alan proudly served as a Flight Medic with the Nevada National Guard for 15 years, providing critical care in challenging environments. His commitment to protecting and serving his community also extended to law enforcement, where he operated as a SWAT Operator/Medic and reserve deputy with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.

Alan's extensive field experience, leadership under pressure, and passion for service have made him a respected figure in the fire, EMS, and tactical medical communities


Seth Barker Lead Educator-Bozeman

Seth Barker is the Deputy Chief of Operations for the Big Sky Fire Department in Big

Sky, MT (ret.). He has served the Big Sky Fire Department community for over 23

years and is a professional ski patroller for the Big Sky Resort. Chief Barker is a

Logistical Coordinator for FireFighterCloseCalls.com and has contributed to the 16 Life

Safety Initiatives for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. He has performed as

Vice-Chair of the Volunteer Combination Officer Section for the International

Association of Fire Chiefs Cancer Alliance Committee. Barker is one of the contributing

authors for the Lavender Report, issuing the 11 Best Practices of Cancer Prevention in

the Fire Service. He was the Past President of the International Society of Fire Service

Instructors. Chief Barker holds the Fire Officer and Chief Training Officer Designation

from the Center of Public Safety and Excellence. He recently received the Jim

Blankenship Award from the Montana State Fire Chiefs Association for excellence in

Fire Training. He is currently a lead instructor for the Montana Board of Medical

Examiners. He is a EMT, ACLS, Heartsaver, CPR and PALS instructor.
